This is a touching story, and I would recommend it to any animal lover.

Book Review: "Homer's Odyssey"
Homer's Odyssey is a memoir by Gwen Cooper about adopting an eyeless kitten named Homer. Homer was always joyful and full of energy, befriending any and all humans he met. This was a wonder cat who saved Gwen's life by chasing off a man who had broken in to their apartment late at night, and survived for days trapped alone in an apartment near the World Trade Center after 9/11.

Why would you recommend it? And Why was Homer eyeless? Where did you get the book and how did you decide to read it? What were some of your favorite parts? Were there any pictures? Would someone who does not love animals like this book?
